NICE TO MEET YOU

My name is Zoltan Dobos, I am a professional photographer from Hungary. After many years of being an enthusiastic amateur, I studied photography at the London Metropolitan University and got a degree as Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours. During my studies, I ventured into several different areas of photography, from portraits to still life, but in the meantime, I developed a unique attraction towards landscape, seascape and cityscape photography.

STATEMENT

Nature offers a wonderful view of all seasons and places. However, not only is it beautiful, but it also affects you, causing emotions, especially when you are looking at nature alone. Then, in addition to relaxing, it also conveys a kind of meditative message. That is exactly why I take my photos alone, retreating from the noise of the city, far away from the people. This is how the calm, slowed down way of thinking and seeing is created, with which I can get close to the real atmosphere of a place, so this way I can forget about the distractions and get close to nature itself.

In my opinion, the purpose of artistic landscape photography is not to document a place factually. I, therefore, prefer to use Long Exposure or Intentional Camera Movement techniques in my work.

Although my images are personal responses based on personal impressions, I believe that my works remind us that the nature that surrounds us – to which we owe our existence – is beautiful, eternal and at the same time an eternal memory for humanity.
